A recent story was a finalist for the 2013 Broad River Review RASH Award for Fiction; another story was a 2013 finalist in the Phoebe Fiction Contest; another was a finalist in the 2012 “So-to-Speak” Fiction Contest.

Glimmer Train named a story as an Honorable Mention in the November 2012 Short Story Awards for New Writers - January 22, 2013.

--”Mermaids” won first prize in The 2011 Roanoke Review Fiction Contest - published in 2012 Roanoke Review, vol. xxxvii, September 2012, and was nominated for Best American short stories, O’Henry Awards and a Pushcart Prize.  To be nominated is an honor. thanks to the roanoke review.
